Gold had got a fresh batch of pokeballs and was adamant about catching a pokemon this time but who would it be. He hoped it was something good this time and not a lame Munchlax. He would never forget that day. Why he was trying to catch a Munchlax in the first place was beyond him.
Well, he was a little further from the main city now, as he traveled through the canyon of the island. He wondered what he would find here. Hopefully something would pop out at him soon.

CacneaFemale | Hasty | Sand Veil | Sticky Barb poison sting | leer | absorb | growth | leech seed | sand-attack Condition: Healthy Status: Normal Trapped: No A wild Cacnea had been roaming around the desert, rubbing itself up against other non-pokemon cactuses, mistaking them for male cacnea or cacturn. It was then it saw a trainer, a very handsome trainer that it instantly fell in love with. "Caccccneaaaaaaaaaaa!!"It shouted as it had hearts in its eyes, staring intently at the young trainer while waving its arms up and down.

TyphlosionMale | Aggressive | Flash Fire Inferno | Flame Charge | Flame Thrower | Quick Attack | Smoke Screen | Lava Plume
Gold saw a Cacnea appear from out of no where. Well, it did blend in with the other cactus around, except for the crown on its head. He jumped back as the thing shouted out and flailed its arms around. What was that look in its eyes, it was creeping him out. He quickly drew one of his pokeballs out and unleash Ty.
Typhlosion appeared and gave out a roar. "TYPLHOSION." Gold would point towards the Cacnea and tell his command to it. "TY, use Inferno." Ty, would rear back its head and unleash a blue stream of flame at its new opponent.

CacneaFemale | Hasty | Sand Veil | Sticky Barb poison sting | leer | absorb | growth | leech seed | sand-attack Condition: Fainted Status: Burned Trapped: No "C-cac..?" In its last instance of life, one could clearly see Cacnea's heart break and tears form on its eyes as a blast of blue flames neared its body before engulfing it, burning and incinerating it instantly before the Cacnea fell to the floor dramatically, fainting. DoduoMale | Timid | Early Bird | Sharp Beak Peck | Growl | Quick Attack | Rage | Fury Attack | Pursuit Condition: Healthy Status: Normal Trapped: No A Duduo was running super fast across the side of the canyon. It stopped to take a gander at the canyon and its depths before it turned to the side and saw a Typhlosion roast a Cacnea. That sure wasn't nice. That trained needed to be taught a lesson.. By some other pokemon with more guts.. Maybe a hit and run was the best idea. It began sprinting towards the trainer and his pokemon. As it came up to the Typhlosion, it launched a Pursuit attack.

Gold grinned as he saw the Cacnea faint. The thing was just pure weak. Now it was time to find the next pokemon, or maybe the next one would find him. He looked over and saw that a Doduo had came out of no where speeding towards Ty. "Ty, use quick attack." Ty would then go on all fours and sprint towards the attacking Doduo. It would cause a head on collision but he knew Ty could take it.

DoduoMale | Timid | Early Bird | Sharp Beak Peck | Growl | Quick Attack | Rage | Fury Attack | Pursuit Condition: Slight Fatigue Status: Normal Trapped: No Doduo went into a head on head on head collision with the Typhlosion, tumbling back before rolling onto its feet, shaking its heads wildlly before looking over at the Typhlosion. It was a lot scarier now that it was attacking it. Doduo would fight back for sure now. It lowered its heads and launched a straight forward quick attack, disappearing and appearing from view rapidly before it launched itself towards Typhlosion.

TyphlosionMale | Aggressive | Flash Fire Inferno | Flame Charge | Flame Thrower | Quick Attack | Smoke Screen | Lava Plume
Gold was shocked this two headed bird was wanting to stand against his Typhlosion. Well, if it was a fight it wanted, it was going to get defeated. Yet, he lost track of the high speed bird and so did Ty. He saw that it was now coming from the side and there was nothing they could do.
Ty, got hit as it slide across the ground but still standing. That attack was a fast one, but hardly caused that much damage to him. Gold grinned and shouted out its next move to do. "USE FLAME CHARGE AND SHOW IT WHAT A REAL ATTACK IS." Ty, would charge back towards the bird as the flames on its back would go across its whole body, giving it a coat of flames.

DoduoMale | Timid | Early Bird | Sharp Beak Peck | Growl | Quick Attack | Rage | Fury Attack | Pursuit Condition: Injured Status: Normal Trapped: No Doduo had taken that attack to. It was a fairly fast fire-type attack which knocked it back, taking an even stronger hit than the previous quick attack. Now Doduo was angered. It ran at Typhlosion again and this time launched a fury attack to strike the typhlosion multiple times.

TyphlosionMale | Aggressive | Flash Fire Inferno | Flame Charge | Flame Thrower | Quick Attack | Smoke Screen | Lava Plume
Gold was slightly impressed by the spirit this thing had. His Typhlosion had gotten a little exhausted now and didnt get to move out of the way of the next attack in team. It didnt help that they were so close and he didnt have time to react. Gold had to do something to push it back.
The next attack that he thought of would be able to push it back. "Ty, Flame Thrower." The burst of flame would escape Ty's mouth as it released it towards the Doduo.

DoduoMale | Timid | Early Bird | Sharp Beak Peck | Growl | Quick Attack | Rage | Fury Attack | Pursuit Condition: Fainted Status: Burned Trapped: No Doduo was happy that it had managed to weaken down the foe's typhlosion, but now they serious. The male trainer gave an order and typhlosion launched a flamethrower attack, striking the Doduo and causing it to faint with that one hit, burned on the floor. DratiniFemale | Adament | Shed Skin | Dragon Scale Wrap | Leer | Thunder Wave | Twister | Dragon Rage | Slam Condition: Healthy Status: Normal Trapped: No Dratini was just floating along through the canyon, passing by the other dragon-type pokemon hidden deep within it. It decided to try and catch a cloud that was floating up through the canyon and up into the sky. It exited the canyon and spotted a trainer. It had never seen a human before and was curious about it, so she decided to float up and in front of the trainer and his typhlosion.

TyphlosionMale | Aggressive | Flash Fire Inferno | Flame Charge | Flame Thrower | Quick Attack | Smoke Screen | Lava Plume
Gold pumped his fist in victory as he defeated the Doduo. Another one down, now what would be next. That's when a Dratini floated in front of him. He smiled brightly as the pokemon stared at him. Something that he wanted and that wasn't lame. What were the possibilities?
Ty would turn its head and look at the new pokemon. Gold ducked and yelled to Typhlosion. "Use Inferno." It would open its mouth and send another stream of blue flame but at the Dratini this time.

DratiniFemale | Adament | Shed Skin | Dragon Scale Wrap | Leer | Thunder Wave | Twister | Dragon Rage | Slam Condition: Fatigued Status: Burned Trapped: No Dratini was shocked when the trainer had attack her without even trying to befriend her. It took the strong hit, but as fire-type attacks did half damage against dragons, it didn't take a lot, even if it was a powerful attack. Dratini shook its head and glared at the two before it launched a wave of electricity, its thunder wave attack, at the typhlosion.

TyphlosionMale | Aggressive | Flash Fire Inferno | Flame Charge | Flame Thrower | Quick Attack | Smoke Screen | Lava Plume
Gold was shocked to see that the Dratini was still standing after that blast. Oh this was a good thing indeed. He was seriously going to catch this one. "Well, Dratini, it seems you have been the one I've been looking for. Though, for us to be friends and you might partner. I have to capture you, sorry."
With that he looked at Ty and nodded. "Use Flame Charge on it, Ty." It would coat its body in a flame coat, running and jumping to the floating pokemon.

DratiniFemale | Adament | Shed Skin | Dragon Scale Wrap | Leer | Thunder Wave | Twister | Dragon Rage | Slam Condition: Exhausted Status: Normal Trapped: No Dratini was a bit injured now, feeling a bit of a strain, but not too much as of yet. The opponent came toward it and hit it with a flame charge. The size difference made the attack do quite a bit of damage, but thanks to Dratini being a Dragon, even despite the level and power difference, it wouldn't quite take Dratini out yet. To make matters better for Dratini, it's shed skin ability would come into effect and it would leave behind a shed skin which would remain on fire. However, Dratini's body was now healed. Following this, she'd attack back with a dragon rage. She cried out before spitting out some blue flames at her opponent, though these weren't ordinary flames. They were of the dragon type rather than the fire type and would certainly cause a deal of damage if they hit typhlosion.

Mantinemale | bubbly | water absorb Psybeam | Hydro Pump | Bounce | Bubblebeam | Wing Attack | Aqua Ring
Gold was impressed by this little Dratini. This was what he was hoping for. Though his Typhlosion was not fairing very well. It was time to change tactics. He pulled out Ty's pokeball and took him out of the battle. "You did good Ty, but we're gonna try a different tactic."
Then he pulled out his pokeball for Mantine and threw it out. It cried out and floated in the air like the Dratini. "Mantine, we have a new partner to catch. Use Psybeam." It would then send out a purplish beam towards the Dratini, hopefully it would confuse it.
