"Byzantium City.."
It had been a day since Will had arrived on the island, and byzantium city was the first stop on the map. He decided to try and find some of the local pokemon, to see if they differed from the ones back in his home region of Hoenn. As he began to walk towards a patch of tall grass, the purple leaves of the trees blew with the wind. The air caressed the blades of grass sticking up into the atmosphere, causing a soothing melody to echo through the area. Will held his arms forward and slid his fingers into the grass, parting it in front of him as he entered the area. He took several steps in, looking around and listening closely for the faint sounds of any near pokemon.
"Altaria, time for some fresh air,"
He spoke. Will brought his left arm behind him and took a single pokeball attached to his belt off, using his index finger to press the button. The ball grew in diameter and he tossed it up into the air. With a click, the ball opened and a red light shot out, materializing into his first pokemon, Altaria.
"Altaaarrrr!"
She cried out with a bright smile. Will smirked slightly before his face returned to a stoic look. Altaria floated a few feet above Will as the two wandered through the grass in search of new companions. |

"HEY! GIVE THAT BALL BACK! I JUST BOUGHT IT!" A girl screamed from just outside of the pokemart. Hell, like Poochyena was going to stop for her. She ran as quickly as she could with the Great Ball clenched between her teeth. The woman simply stood there, having given up hope. She looked fairly wealthy and she wasn't going to be running in those high heels. The woman went back inside to buy another.
Poocheyena smirked as she continued to run at top speed, seeing that the woman wasn't going to chase her. However, as she looked back and headed into the grass, she neglected to pay attention to where she was going and bumped into Will's legs.
"Ouh!"

"Ack! What the?!"
Will felt something solid bump into his leg, causing him to stumble over to the side. Before he fell, he managed to catch his balance and turned to look at what had hit him. Altaria quickly cried out in a shout and flew down in front of Will as fast as she could, eager to protect her trainer from whatever it was that had attacked him. Both Will and his pokemon looked forward then down, spotting a small black dog.
"Poochyena..!"
Will instantly recognized the pokemon at first glance. It was a pokemon native to Hoenn. It was a small cute pup and appeared to have something held in its mouth. Blue top, white bottom, small spherical shape. It was a great ball. Well what a catch. If he could catch this pokemon, it'd be like getting it without using a ball. He looked down at the young pup with a bit of a smirk.
"Altaria, you ready? Use sing,"
He ordered his pokemon. Altaria happily shouted as she began to sing a loving melody, its voice echoing throughout the area, though the majority of the melody directed towards the young pup. Will himself placed his hands over his ears so that the song would not affect him and put him to sleep as it was designed to do. |

Poochyena was rather upset that this man had gotten in her way. She had been trying to run away as quickly as possible, and here was this roadblock getting right in her way. How annoying! She took a few steps back and began to growl. She was so mad right now she could just bite the boy. However, before she even got a chance to do that, a giant bird came down in front of her.
"Grrrrr!" But before long, she'd hear singing which soothed her. Slowly but surely, she fell on the ground in a restful position. She just couldn't stay awake. She went to sleep.

"Altarrrriaa~"
The dragon pokemon sang until the Poochyena had fallen asleep, which soon enough it had. Plopped right onto the floor in front of them.
"Good job Altaria! Now, lets add a new buddy to our team of friends, yeah?"
He said. Reaching behind his back, he withdrew a pokeball, an empty one. He tossed it once up into the air a foot before catching it again, simultaneously clicking the button on the front of it, causing it to grow in diameter. He brought his arm up and threw the pokeball towards the sleeping pokemon.
"Pokeball, go!" |

Poochyena was hit by the pokeball and went inside after being envelopped by red light. She wouldn't allow herself to be caught that easily. She was tired and pretty much asleep, but she still had some degree of willpower. She would fight! The ball opened up and Poochyena popped out again. She remained on the ground, still sleeping peacefully, however.

"Grr, danmit. Altaria, we have to weaken it more, it looks like it still has strength to battle"
"Al!!"
Will brought his right arm into the air, hand closed into a fist as he spoke to his pokemon. Altaria let out a loud cry, a look of determination growing over her face. She was determined to not let her master down. She'd be heart broken if she did. She couldn't think how she could face him if she failed to help capture the Poochyena before them. Will brought his arm backwards and threw it forward, pointing dramatically out towards the sleeping pokemon.
"Go Altaria, use Dragon Pulse! But try not to kill it!"
He ordered. Altaria nodded and brought its head back, taking a deep breath in. She opened her mouth, a shining ball of light green energy forming in front of it. Altaria launched the ball forwards at the sleeping dog in order to weak it. |

Poochyena was still laying there, eyes closed and enjoying her nap, but she'd snap out of her sleep as an attack came her way. She was hit by the dragon pulse,causing her a lot of damage. She was pushed back by the sheer force of the attack, unable to hold her position. As the attack hit her, she'd roar out loud, dropping the Great Ball on the ground momentarily.
"ROAR!" The sound of her voice would be loud and intimidating. The type of attack she was doing would force Altaria back into its pokeball for some time. She grinend and picked up the Great Ball in her teeth once more, knowing that she had defeated Altaria into retreating.

"H-hey! Altaria!"
Altaria got a look of shock on its face before it turned into a translucent red plasma, shooting back into its pokeball. Will looked at it in disbelief, clicking the button on the pokeball multiple times and shaking it, trying to get Altaria to come out, but to no avail.
"Must've been roar. Darn that little pup. I still got another pokemon! Go Milotic!"
He shouted. He placed Altaria's pokeball back onto the back of his belt, reaching one over and grabbing the next ball. He clicked the button and threw it forward, a clicking noise going off before the sphere opened and let out a red beam, forming into Milotic.
"Milotic~"
Milotic came out, crying its name in a soothing and beautiful manner. Its voice was calm and so were her eyes. It was a figment of true beauty, the way Will had raised it to be. Will saw the Poochyena was greatly weakened as it had taken his Altaria's dragon pulse directly. He was hesitant to attack again and thought he'd try his luck once more. He picked up the pokeball he had thrown before and clicked its button again, causing it to grow. He turned his upper body, bringing his arm back before turning back the other way, throwing the pokeball very fast straight at the Poochyena's head.

Poochyena was feeling so proud about her victory when he sent out yet another pokemon. This one was apparently beautiful, but nonetheless it didn't scare Poochyena. She was tired and exhausted, but she'd never give up. She wasn't scared. She quickly charged at the enemy pokemon, baring her fangs, and would dig her teeth into Milotic's tail to the best of her ability and leaving the Great Ball behind momentarily.
"Grrrr!"

"Loooo!"
Milotic cried out. The bite had hurt it, but not a whole lot as Milotics greatest strength, besides its beauty was its defense. Will kissed his teeth briefly, narrowing his eyes. His pokeballs were failing one after the other and he was running out. He had to take the chance now or else he'd run out of pokeballs to capture the Poochyena with.
"Milotic, use Water Pulse!"
He called out. Milotic nodded. She floated in the air straight for a few feet before turning her entire body, swinging its tail forward and up into the air in an attempt to send the black pup flying up into the air. If successful, she'd hold her head back slightly before releasing a spiraling stream of water at a fast pace straight at Poochyena in an attempt to weaken and even confuse it. |

The biting of her tail wasn't going well, as Milotic soon shot a blast of powerful water coming Poochyena's way. Poochyena was forced to let go of her tail. She was sent flying off her feet. She had to let go of Milotic's tail as the water sent her rolling back. Quickly however, she jumped up onto her feet again, though the strain of the battle was really showing it's marks. She could barely stand up, but she managed to.
"ROAR!" She cried out. She'd send Milotic back to it's pokeballs, and another one would most likely come out. Nonetheless, Poochyena didn't want to deal with Milotic anymore, and she didn't know that he could send another pokemon out again.

"W-what?! What the hell?!"
Will yelled towards the Poochyena as Milotic was forced back into its pokeball as well by Poochyena's roar. As Milotic retreated back into its pokeball, Will caught her pokeball with it inside of it. It shrunk back into portable form and placed it back onto his belt. He withdrew Altaria's ball and threw it out into the air.
"Altaria, use sing!"
He said, wasting no time at all. Poochyena was weakened now and hopefully if he could get it back to sleep, it'd be a simple catch afterwards. The ball spun through the air and opened up with a pop, releasing Altaria who had an annoyed look on her face now. She wanted revenge on this small dog for humiliating her in front of her master. As soon as she was released, she closed her eyes and began to sing once more, its soothing melody touching the ears of pokemon around her. Will once more covered his eyes with his hands as he hoped the Poochyena would fall asleep again. |

Poochyena felt victorious once again as the other pokemon disappeared. She got ready to walk away and grabbed the great ball into her teeth. However, as she walked away, she'd feel pain in her right leg. This battle simply wasn't going her way, but she wasn't going to allow herself to faint though. She tried to walk away, but that was only until she heard a familiar voice coming from behind her. It was a soothing voice... that made her fall asleep once again. She couldn't keep her eyes open... but maybe a comfortable nap was just what she needed.

"Ah finally. Good work Altaria,"
Will said. he grabbed one of the two last pokeballs he had on his belt that were stll functional, clicking the button before throwing it hard at the sleeping and exausted Poochyena. His plan had finally worked, and hopefully it was weakened enough to be captured with little problems this time. Altaria too store with great hope in her eyes. If Will successfully captured the young pup, hopefully he'd praise her and she'd love him even more than she already did now. Also, if the Poochyena was on their team, she could get revenge on it for humiliating her by picking on it. In a sick sort of sadistic way, Altaria hoped her master would love her for doing that too. |
