The cracking of wood can be heard as a small fire continued to burn down to embers. Three pokemon sat with the older teenager. One was a gible who never seemed to leave his side. Another was a lucario who was levitating firewood into a neat little pile. The last member of the group seemed more preoccupied with trying to get into his trainer's bag.
The black headed teen looked over at his starting pokemon and laughed. "Come on guys, lets go looking for some wild pokemon" The water pokemon came running after his trainer as he waded into the grass.

Golem had been just taking a leisurely walk or rather roll, through the forests of the mountain in order to get out and get some air. Usually when he did this, he would find unsuspecting victims to mess with and attack in order to get rid of his boredom. This happened to be one of such days. Hell, the idiots had a fire going just to mark their location for him. How lucky!
And so he approached, slowly but surely. On the way to the makeshift camp, he found himself a large boulder, carrying it above his head.
"GOLEMMMM!" He crashed into the camp site, knocking down various trees. Using rock throw to launch the large boulder in the direction of the little team of puny idiots.
"GOLLLEMMMMMM!" Damn, Golem was a big mofo, ready to tear something up.

With a look of anguish upon her face she looked over at her trainer, the boy who had raised her since she emerged from her egg. ”Bui Bui?”
A faint smile crossed the sixteen year old’s face. She had always been worried about him. Slowly he pushed himself off the ground where he had flung himself to avoid the rock. ”I’m fine Buizel!” He took a quick survey of the area before addressing the problem at hand. The Golem. He’d catch it. He had to. ”Buizel, Aqua jet!” He watched his elegant friend zoom off, propelled by the clear liquid which incased her. There was no better joy than this. Battling a pokemon for the first time in a new place.[/style] |

A Buizel really was a problem for a pokemon like Golem. Water attacks had the potential to do a lot of damage, though this particular Golem had a very high level of power. It wouldn't be easy for Buizel to hurt it, particularly with physical attack. The Aqua jet came for Golem and hit his shell.
"Golem!" It would cry out, not moving so much as a muscle as the attack hit him. He held his ground. However, Golem would then go inside of its shell. It was using Defense Curl, to raise its defensive abilities even further.

She refused to let any emotion show on her face, even pleasure at hitting her target did not register. She watched while the Golem receeded into its shell. They had to attack now before it could do that again! She looked back at her human friend. It was their turn to strike.
The sound of grinding teeth filled the air. It appeared to have done nothing! Nothing at all! Right. Their only chance was to keep it up. ”Buizel! Aqua Tail!” A small smile crossed the teen’s face. He had to catch this Golem! He had too! No one would be able to defeat him then!
”Bui bui!” The water covered the female’s tail and she swipped it towards the Golem’s knees. After all, the bigger they are…. The harder they fall.[/style] |

Once again, Buizel's physical attack wouldn't do much damage. With the level and power difference, a physical attack just probably wasn't going to cut it, especially while Golem was rolled up like this and the opponent was just a Buizel. However, Golem could fight back, and it's own attack would very likely hurt the enemy a lot.
Golem jumped up into the air, still in a ball. It would aim to smash into Buizel at full force. This, of course, was a Rock throw attack.

She knew now that physical attacks weren’t going to work, even though they were using highly effective attacks against it. The rocks were still coming and yet no command to dodge. She’d do so herself… but she didn’t want to ruin her friend’s strategy.
He shook his head and snapped out of the trance he was in just in time to see Buizel get hit with the rock throw. ”BUIZEL!” the orange pokemon lay spralled on the ground. The one yellow dot on her back visible to all who wished to see it. He rummaged through his bag and pulled out a pokeball, enlargened it and threw it at the rock pokemon. Please stay in… Meanwhile. Buizel was slowly starting to get up, although it was clear that there wasn’t a lot of health left. [/style] |

Golem just couldnt take the water attacks anymore. With that last attack it was done for and could only just roll on its side and faint. The pokeball would soon come and absorb it into the ball. The ball would shake but the Golem couldnt break free it was just to tired.

He helped the pokemon to stand before grabbing its pokeball. "You did a fine job. Take a break my good friend." The beam absorbed the water pokemon pulling it back in. He had just enough time to put away the two pokeballs when Lucario began to walk further away from the flames. "Lucario! Where are you going?" How was this even possible?! He looked down and recognised the pattern. "Oh shit....." He jumped off, still holding the gible in his arms. Quickly he returned the gible to its pokeball only to find the rock pokemon trying to use rock throw on him. "Lucario!" He reached out and pulled him out of the path of rocks. With his trainer in safety it was time to really fight. "Lucario! Aura sphere!" His hands were verticly paralel and a small blue sphere was released from them.

What could be going through his trainer’s mind? Surely it wasn’t his past. ”That’s it Lucario! Use Aura sphere again!” Nope. Couldn’t be. He was here in the land of the living. What was it then? His focus deepened as he once again formed a sky blue ball that would hopefully end this battle. He really couldn’t be bothered to fight the night away. Take this you big ball of stupid rock!
