Steven was blissful. As soon as he had gotten off of the boat to the island, he noticed it in the far distance. The incredible mountain. It called to him, cried out for him, pined for him. Sitting with legs crossed on top of Metagross, happily carrying him along to his destination. "I have a good feeling about this buddy! I can feel it inside of my marrow, there are some really rare rocks in there just waiting to be found!" Steven only ever getting this excited about rare stones to unearth.
"Meta-grooooss~!" Metagross speaking, it's eyes changing to a cliche happy face. Expressed happiness for it's master pursuing his true passion in life, well that is to say besides making new Pokemon friends. Steven always truly enjoyed that over anything. Metagross coming to a stop at the foot of the mountain, surveying the surrounding rocks with a bit of discern, mostly oblivious to the world around him. Metagross however was on edge...

One of the supposed rocks around the base of the mountain began to move, it was one of the rounder ones of the group... But as it stirred, a closer inspection of the 'rock' would have one notice that it had arms and legs and even a head. And then at once, the golem rolled onto its feet, glaring at the human who had woken him up with his loud voice.
The pokemon knelt down, acting before thinking, he lifted a rock as big as his head from the ground. Teach that human to disturb him when he's sleeping, that he would. The Golem heaved the rock up in one hand and then in one swift movement he let it fly, toward that human and the pokemon with him.

Metagross reacting on the instinct to protect his master, arm glowing as the boulder came toward Steven. Smashing it to smithereens with a powerful Meteor Mash. The dust and debris falling on Steven's head as he examined a peculiar stone, not paying much attention still before standing up slowly. Metagross in front of him in battle mode. "Meta-GROSS!" Steven scratching his head as Metagross snarled at the wild pokemon.
"Hey, what's this? A Golem... oh my. What a beautiful specimen of the Earth you are! I'd like to examine you closer... say Metagross, should we make him our new friend?" Steven smiled and Metagross charged, arm glowing again. "Let's make this quick! Meteor Mash!" The distance between Metagross and the Golem closing, a glowing arm again and Metagross unleashing a devastating attack in the direction of Golem, contact was not certain.

"Golem!" The pokemon roared as the rock he'd thrown was shattered with such ease. The human and his pokemon were troublesome things, and they wanted to keep him from getting his rest! That's how he saw it anyway, and he couldn't have it.
A second meteor mash attack struck the golem right in the center of his body, throwing him backward into a huge boulder even larger than himself. Although the attack had damaged him quite a bit, the golem wasn't one to give up so easily, so he got back onto his feet and began to charge toward the metagross. As soon as he was close enough, golem would try to tackle it with the full force of his body!

(OOC: If you think this is a called hit I'll change it but I don't know... how else Psychic is going to work here. :I lol.)
"Psychic." Steven spoke, softly, almost a whisper of phrase. Metagross hearing it loud and clear however, as Steven walked toward the area where Metagross and the wild Pokemon were fighting. Metagross covered in a purple glow, centering it's sights on the Golem ahead of him, stopping the mid-air tackle.
"Gross!" Letting out a roar of power, Steven's Metagross was truly an elite fighter and easily conquered opponents far and wide. Not only that, it was Steven's best friend.
"I love the determination! The attitude! It's fantastic, really. Please Golem, won't you come with me?" Smiling a little bit as Metagross lifted the Golem high in the air with it's mental prowess, slamming him down again in an instant.

Special attacks always did a lot of damage on pokemon like Golem. His rockhard shell was immune to most physical attacks, but when it came to the other types, an untrained Golem simply couldn't cut it. Much like this Golem. It would hit the ground hard. However, it wasn't finished yet.
Golem reached down, still exhausted, and picked up a giant boulder which was right next to him. With his mighty strength, he'd throw the boulder at the Metagross, aiming to hurt it as much as he could.
"GOLEM!" It called out in a mighty roar.

Steven smiled even more, this Golem was tough. Not many could withstand two direct attacks from his Metagross. Metagross braced itself on the ground, using the floor to transfer most of the energy from the blow. It's body as hard as steel, withstanding the physical attack with relative ease. Steven pointed to the Golem. "A diamond in the rough that is for sure! I happen to be an expert at turning rough cut Pokemon like you, into shining rare stones." A pokeball in hand, looking to his partner Metagross for affirmation of worth and strength. Metagross nodding it's head slowly, a trait picked up from observing humans. Steven leisurely threw the pokeball at the exhausted Golem. Would it work though?

The pokeball would hit Golem, driving him inside of it. The red light energy would absorb him. The pokeball fell to the ground, and quickly began to shake. 1 shake. 2 shakes. 3 shakes. POOF! The Golem popped out of the ball.
Quickly, Golem would jump up and with all of its power, it smashed down, creating a mini earthquake of sorts directed at the Metagross. This was its Magnitude Attack.

In the eye of Steven, this looked to be about a magnitude seven. Stabilizing his footing, Metagross still out despite the type disadvantage of the attack. The heavy body of Metagross shaking, rattling to it's core to endure the attack. However having gone through enough training as the main pokemon of a Champion team, Metagross was still stable. "You okay buddy?" Steven spoke, putting his hand on the top of Metagross. Metagross nodding it's head again.
"Meta!" Stomping it's legs on the ground hard, reasserting itself as dominant. Steven smiling more.
"I guess if you were easy to catch it wouldn't be worth it! Go all out Metagross, show him how well we can shake things up. Earthquake!" Metagross obliging gladly, glowing a deep purple before quickly stomping it's massive legs all in unison, sending immense shockwaves through the ground and directly at Golem.

Golem was pretty satisfied with his Magnitude attack, however, before he could relish in his victory, something much worse was sent right back at him. The ground would start to shake beneath him. Giant shockwaves. Golem curled up into his shell as he endured the hit. He'd roll back quite a ways until the end of the attack, but once it was over, he popped out of his shell. He could no longer move. Exhausted and tired, he laid there, only just barely cautious.
"Golem.."

Steven hopped on the head of Metagross, slowly hovering over to the area where Golem was now a bit less than conscious. Still a smile on his face, "Don't be so hard on yourself, friend. Few can stand up to so many attacks from my good buddy here." Patting the top of Metagross slowly, pulling out another Pokeball. "Come with me if you want! It's up to you." Throwing the second Pokeball and hitting the Golem on the back.

"Return Metagross." Metagross returning to his Pokeball, Steven sighing slowly. "Come on out my dear Aggron!" Aggron coming from her Pokeball onto the battlefield as Steven held it in front of him. Instantly going toward Steven and giving him a gigantic bear hug.
"Agg! Aggron!" Steven struggling and laughing at the same time.
"Ehehehe okay! Aggron I am going to need you to freeze that guy solid, okay?" Pointing to the Golem after struggling to get free. "Ice Beam!" Aggron opening he mouth, a small blue orb forming before a lightning bolt-esque streaming of pure cold erupted and shot toward the Golem who was by all means dead.

"Just get in the ball, sheesh. Comes a time when the greatest must give up." Throwing a third pokeball at the Golem, now encased in a tomb of ice, letting out a great sigh and leaning against his Aggron as they watched the ball shake.
