"Thanks, Nurse Joy,"
Will bowed to the pink haired nurse and she returned the bow. He began taking his poke balls two by two, placing them on his belt against the magnetic surfaces. He was glad to finally get his pokemon healed again, it had been quite a long day and he was ready to sit back and relax, but right now he was hungry. He walked across the slick surface of the center over to a large cooler with a transparent glass door. He picked out a sandwich and picked out an orange soda from another one, paying the respective people for it before he took a seat at an empty table, placing his soda down before he opened the wrapper around the sandwich and took a bite out of it. Man it tasted good.

Sadly they weren’t carrying any of the golden stars that would grant him entrance to the tournament.
The tournament. Did they even stand a chance at winning this thing? At first, before he came here, he thought he stood a good chance. But now….
”Oliver Gray. Your pokemon are ready now.” After many hours of anxious waiting his legs straightened and carried him to the bustling metropolis that was the front desk. More and more trainers were coming in now, begging for Nurse Joy to heal their injured friends or for a room to spend the night in. A few people were at the computer swapping the pokemon in their team or sending a message to their family back home about their adventures. He scooped up his four pokeballs, placing three of them on his belt, knowing that his Buizel was bound to pop out at any moment now.
And pop out it did. Only half a minuet after their friends were placed on his belt the little water pokemon appeared at his side. ”Thanks for everything Nurse Joy.” That was all the time she had before a pokemon on its death bed was brought to her. How he’d hate to be that trainer…
He ordered stew in a bread bowl from the café. Paying the required twenty yen and a little bit extra before beginning to search for a seat.
”Bui bui!” Buizel was right. There were no single tables left. Golem, Gible, and Lucario would have to wait to eat. He walked to the nearest table and gave its companion a friendly smile. ”Mind if I join you? The other tables are full.” Buizel wasn’t the slightest bit interested in the trainer before him. He was more preoccupied in trying to find a way to get the food out of his trainer’s backpack. [/style] |

"..? Naw, go ahead,"
Will looked up at the trainer mid bite, stopping himself from completing his bite as he examined him briefly. He looked down and saw a Buizel, though he didn't know much about the pokemon as he had only seen them on tv. As he answered the trainer, he shrugged simultaneously, closing his eyes as he finished his bite and began to chew on his sandwich. He held it in both hands, his fingers placed on either end of its form. After a few bites he opened his eyes again to examine the trainer further. He wondered how he was fairing in the tournament, whether he'd be a worthy rival or whether he'd just be another trainer he'd never see in the finals.
He put his sandwich down for a brief moment and undid the cap on his soda, taking a big gulp of it and swallowing it down before placing the cap back on. He reached behind his waist and pulled a pokeball from his belt, placing it on the table and spun it around while he took a bite from his sandwich in his other hand. Perhaps he should let his Poochyena out to have some fresh air. He decided to and click the button, letting Poochyena out of its pokeball and onto the floor.
"Arf!"
She barked happily. Will took a piece of his sandwich off from the rest and handed it down to poochyena, giving it a bite.
