The teenage trainer had been, again, resting in the middle of town. It seems as though he was doing more resting than anything else, but that was just fine with him. He had no real fire in his heart anymore, unable to simply keep at one task endlessly until it was finished. That kind of resolve had long since washed away out of his heart and mind. He was much more realistic, much more...jaded.
His pikachu rested upon his right shoulder, the teen's hat tilted down to hide his face from the sun while he napped on a park bench. Yes, this is what today called for, a simple nap. Things were always much better after a nap, at least for him.
Today was already seeming like such a big bust, he almost saw no point with continuing on. Give up for the day and go back to bed.

"You friends with Blue?"
Will had come from the Amethyst Tower and walked through the city, taking a brief rest before he went out to find more pokemon and more star pins. As he came through the middle of town, he saw a trainer with a pikachu on his right shoulder, sitting around looking bummed out. He narrowed his eyes towards him. Another kanto trainer, and this one with a pikachu as well. He didn't know why but he felt as though he may know Blue, or perhaps he just linked the two in his head because they both appeared to be from Kanto. On this island, you could almost always instantly tell where someone was from based on their pokemon. It wasn't the case with everyone, but itd been the case thus far.
It was then he walked up to him and openly asked the question before he decided to introduce himself, as it would've just been blatantly rude to ask such a personal question out of the blue.
"By the way, my name's Will,"
He stated. Rather than sitting beside the male, he kept standing, his hands in his pockets as he looked down at him and his pikachu.

Red had been peacefully napping until something jarred him awake. It was neither a violent shake or even a mugging, but rather a question. This question made his stomach lurch at the very thought. However, he managed to keep his cool and simply answer it, not even looking up at the person who asked.
"Tch. We're from the same town, but other than that I have no other relationship with Blue. I'd never call that person my friend, even if it'd kill me." Red was quite blunt, very forward with this other kid. It hardly bothered him, the question that is. Though, he was quick to correct Will.
"The name's Red by the way. The teen adjusted his hat so that it he could see once more. He then cast a rather indifferent gaze upon the other male. "Why are you asking?" Straight and right to the point, that's just how Red was anymore.

"Nice to meet you, Red. And, I was just curious. It's important to know who all your enemies are,"
Will stated, staring back with a stoic expression over his face. He could now see Red's face clearly after he had moved his head, and he looked like a man of business. He obviously didn't think highly of Blue and that meant there must've been some sort of stirred background between the two.
Will paused for a bit, at loss of what to say. Red had an aura about him that pushed others away, like some thick veiling mist, concealing something dark deep within its curtain. Yet that somehow attracted Will to this man. It peaked his curiosity, the mysteries of this male.
"Mind if I have a seat?"
He suddenly asked. It struck him like some sort of plague. He wanted to peer into this guy's mind, maybe learn a bit about his power.

What Will said made little sense to him. To know who all his enemies are? Who bases who their enemies are just off of who they know or who they're friends with? That sounded somewhat silly to Red, mainly because it indeed sounded illogical, unless Will wasn't explaining himself properly.
Either way, Red didn't really care nor would he bother himself with trying to figure out what any of what Will said. After all, he didn't know the guy and he didn't exactly have to know him either. Or at least that was his standpoint on it all.
"If you want to, I'm not going to stop you from sitting down in a public place." Red wasn't the type of person to say no, but rather to make a smart comment such as that.
"So, are you friends with Blue then?"

"Why how nice of you,"
Will walked over a few steps, taking a seat on the other side of the bench which Red had been resting on. He sat up and reclined back, resting his upper arms on the back of the bench; His left root rested flat on the ground beneath while his right ankle was brought up and laid across his left thigh. He didn't look at Red, rather kept his head forward, staring ahead at passing locals and other trainers. He was getting lost in his own thoughts before another question came from Red.
"Hm, I dunno what to call us. She does somehow find me a lot,"
He closed his eyes, making a face that made him look like he had horizontal lines for eyes. In the end, she'd be an enemy while at this tournament, someone he couldn't lose to if he could help it, but then they got along sort of well. She didn't annoy him and with all the times she's hung out around him he didn't seem to annoy her either, or at least repulse her. Suddenly the words of another trainer he had met on the island came back to him and Will decided to ask Red.
"So, why'd you come to the tournament for?"

"I see." The teen would go to say, not giving much comment to Will's statement about his relationship to Blue. After all, he could hardly care less, but it would be rude not to make small talk...right? Probably, but it wasn't as though things like manners really mattered to him much. Well that wasn't particularly true, although lately he had been slacking quite a bit.
As for Will's next question..."I came to win. Just like everyone else." He came to win, yet he was so relaxed and calm unlike most people. Everyone seemed to scrambling around the island like chickens with their heads cut off. All except for himself.
"I assume you're here for the same thing, right?"
