Evolution
how they evolve
Like in the canon, evolution isn't just decided on how much you battle with your pokemon, but rather every action you perform with them. In other words, just by interacting with them and forming a powerful bond can affect their evolution. Rather than using an EXP system, evolution will be decided by friendship points.
Friendship Points
What are they?Friendship points represents bond between the trainer and their pokemon. The more of a bond the trainer forges with their pokemon through battling and simply interacting with them, the more friendship points they will accumulate.
How do I get friendship points?
For one, you get friendship points by simply roleplaying. For each page in a thread, you get a six-sided die. At the end of the aforementioned thread, the accumulated die are rolled. The sum of the numbers is the amount of friendship points you gain. However, they can be only used toward pokemon used in the thread. Though, for the pokemon used in thread, they can be divvied up any way you see fit.
You also get bonus points for quests and competitive battles as well. You get a bonus for winning matches, as well as losing matches as well. However, winning battles against more experienced trainers or pokemon will bring you a much higher bonus. Also, losing against a more experienced trainer or pokemon will also bring in a higher bonus. Always strive for more, always try to test your strength against tough enemies, it pays off!
How do I evolve?
The friendship points for any given pokemon to evolve is 100. Once you gain a 100 friendship points you may evolve if you'd like. However, one thing to realize is that the friendship points have no cap. Even after your pokemon are fully evolved, you can continue to accumulate friendship points if you so desire.
Other Evolution RequirementsSome pokemon require evolutionary stones, trading or held items in order to evolve rather than evolving naturally. You may find a list of the evolutionary items and corresponding pokemon on this page.
