"Man, this place is creepy," "Arf!!"
Will had journeyed through Gyro Forest, a massive forest taking up a large portion of the island all on its own, covered by trees, hills and windmills. It was certainly a great work out, so he thought it'd be nice to have Poochyena walk outside of its poke ball with him. Not counting all the times it tries gnawing on his leg, it was a great time they spent together. However, through their journey, they stumbled upon a large abandoned power plant, standing alone within the forest, hidden amongst the wilderness. It was large and ominous and as they entered inside, it was relatively dark. Thankfully Poochyena was out. A dark-type itself, it was a lot better at navigating through the plant than Will himself was. It wasn't completely dark within the building. There were hanging lights here and there and lights on the walls, flickering on and off which only added to the dark and lonely feeling Will got as he and his companion delved deeper into the power plant.
"Arr..arf!"
Poochyena itself started feeling like there was a presence around. It barked a few times in an attempt to scare the looming presence away. Will could feel it too. He gulped lightly. If it was one thing he was afraid of, it was the dark. And it was surely dark here. |

Rattata had been resting when it heard something moving throughout the power plant. It sounded heavier then most of the pokemon around the plant. It got out of its nest and started to roam around. Turning the corner it saw a human, along with a pokemon companion. Why did the silly humans have to always wonder in here, disturbing their environment?
He began to squeak at the two as the dog pokemon began to bark. Was this thing wanting to pick a fight? Well, if it wanted to fight then a fight it would give them.

"What the hell was that?"
Will was seriously freaked out now, hearing nothing more than a squeak, to him it was the sound of doom and death and the flashing of his life before his eyes. Poochyena looked at Will like he was crazy, biting onto his pant leg and tugging on it, growling. He looked down at Poochyena as she nudged her head in the direction of the squeak. It was a rattata, something he'd see only here and there.
"Oh, it's only a rat. I don't think Rattata is that powerful, or useful, take care of it girl,"
Will blandly ordered Poochyena. She barked and growled towards the rat.
"Arff!"
"Use roar,"
She barked again. Will gave the order and Poochyena let out a bark first then a large roar which echoed throughout the power plant. A mighty roar which would scare the living daylights out of many pokemon. |

Rattata got up out of its corner. It figured why should it be scared of that little pup. Well, why not just go out and face it again. She would crawl from her nest and head back around to where it saw them. "Rattata." Its cry coming out as it let them know of its presence again.

"Ah there it goes,"
Will bent his left knee a bit with his right leg held out straight. His arms were by his sides, his hands rested on his hips as he watched the Rattata scurry away. Poochyena barked happily, proud that it had scared away a pokemon. It looked up and back at Will with a grin and he grinned back. The glory suddenly went away as he had remembered where he was, in a dark pokemon infested power plant. Poochyena felt right at home though and urged him to go on by biting on his jeans and trying to drag him with her. He sighed and caved, following her deeper into the power plant, hoping that another more useful pokemon would miraculously appear before them and that Poochyena wouldn't roar it away. |

"Rattata!" Rattata was determined not to run away. She held her ground still, unaffected by the attack. She was shivering, yes, but not enough to run away. She charged at Poochyena aiming her Quick Attack at the opponent.

"What the f*@&!?"
Will heard another squeak and almost jumped out of his pants. Poochyena growled and it had appeared that the Rattata had returned for more. This one definitely had some guts to it, to take a roar and then just run back into battle. It was also very daring as it had used a quick attack right off the bat.
"Shi-"
"Arrffff!!"
Poochyena took the quick attack straight in the side, almsot a critical hit as she fell back and tumbled into Will's legs. Will glared a bit, biting his tongue lightly as he looked from Poochyena up to Rattata.
"Get up Poochyena, no weaknesses! Use sand-attack!"
He flung his left arm forward through the air and pointed directly at the Rattata. Poochyena got up onto its legs and barked, a bit weakened as it swiftly turned around, its butt facing the Rattata as it began to kick the floor, somehow dirt flying up from the surface of it and towards the Rattata's face. |

"Rattata!" Rattata had dirt thrown into its face. It made it much more difficult for Ratatta to see. How was it supposed to attack like this? In any case, Rattata began to wipe off her eyes with her front two paws. She needed to get the sand out if she was going to attack.

"Good job, now, use Bite!"
Will once again gave his order and like an obedient dog, Poochyena barked and ran towards the blinded Rattata. She hopped off the ground and bared her fangs, attempting to sink them into the body of the Rattata to weaken it. She felt so happy that she'd be able to sink her teeth and beat up a helpless rat in the faint darkness.
"Grrrarf!!"

Rattata was still working to get the sand out of its eyes. It was so annoying that this little pup did such thing. It felt the presence of the pup coming closer to it. Then it felt its teeth around it. It would flinch in the mouth of the little dog.

"Hah, stupid rat. Alright Poochyena, we can't take the chance. It could be as tough as you, use bite again!"
Will thought back to trying to capture the Poochyena the first time and how he'd wasted two balls in doing so. It was made up by him obtaining a free great ball in the process, but he could've still used that extra poke ball. As he ordered Poochyena to bite again, it made a muffled bark before tossing Rattata a few inches up into the air before biting again even harder than before, shaking Rattata side to side rapidly to try and weaken it down more.

Rattata couldnt believe that it was being munched on by this pup. It couldnt get away from its mouth. Though this time it didnt flinch from the pain of it. It to would use bite of its own. Biting on the neck of the little dog.

Poochyena was bitten and it let go of Rattata, jumping back a foot away from the small rat. Although it had been bitten, bite was a dark-type move so it did very little damage to Poochyena. Poochyena glared and growled at the Rattata as it awaited orders from its master.
"Poochyena, use howl!"
He called out, and right then and there Poochyena lifted a bit off its front legs, sitting on its butt and hind leegs as it closed its eyes, giving a loud howl that raised its attack power a stage, allowing it to do slightly more damage than usual.

Rattata dropped to the ground as the pup let it go of it finally. It stood and watched as the dog let out a howl. She would tilt its head at it, curious as to what it was doing. Then it just shrugged it off and charged for a quick attack.

"Aroooo!!"
Poochyena finished its howl and glared at Rattata who was preparing for a charge. Will saw the attack coming and so did Poochyena, a straight forward quick attack, but with the bad lighting and Poochyena's dark appearance, it managed to avoid the attack by jumping to the left. As Rattata passed the young pup, Poochyena began to run up on the rat from behind.
"Use bite again!"
Will ordered and without a moment's hesitation, Poochyena lept off the ground and went to bite the Rattata with its boosted strength.
